WORKSHOP FOR EMIRATES FOUNDATION
FloodX recently organized an impactful one-day workshop for the COSEM UAE Emirates Foundation Group, an organization dedicated to civil safety and emergency management in the UAE. The event aimed to enhance the group's understanding of flood preparedness and showcase advanced flood protection solutions tailored to the region's unique challenges.
The UAE Emirates Foundation Group is a leading entity focused on civil defense, emergency response planning, and community safety. With a mission to promote resilience against natural and man-made disasters, the group engages in capacity-building initiatives, awareness campaigns, and technical training to safeguard lives and infrastructure. In the UAE, where urban growth and climate unpredictability present new challenges, COSEM plays a critical role in strengthening emergency response frameworks.
The workshop began with a comprehensive three-hour sharing session led by FloodX founders. The interactive nature of the session allowed participants to share experiences, ask questions, and brainstorm innovative approaches to enhancing flood management in the region.
The second half of the day offered a practical, hands-on experience at FloodX's test tank facility. Participants had the unique opportunity to interact with and test a variety of FloodX’s flood protection products, including FX I-Guard, FX Protector, FX Swing Gate etc . Simulated flood scenarios allowed participants to understand product functionality, installation techniques, and the effectiveness of each solution under different conditions. This immersive experience provided a deeper appreciation for the innovative technology driving modern flood protection.
The collaboration between FloodX and the COSEM UAE Emirates Foundation Group underscores the importance of partnerships in addressing pressing environmental challenges. The workshop aimed to empower participants with the knowledge and tools to enhance community safety. FloodX remains committed to its mission of building resilient communities worldwide.
