Flood protection systems can only be installed on solid and sound perpendicular structures as these structures and the flood barrier must be able to take the immense load of water pushing against it at full flood height; Similarly, a flood barrier cannot lean against general glass or rely on such glass for barrier support because glass is not able to take much load from a water column.
Here, as we have to install profiles from wall-to-wall and we were not able to do so on the thin centre wall in case the installation would weaken the structure of the property, we extended the right-hand profile installation to past the fire door.
